ABOUT ME

But then the unexpected happened.
I've been dancing as long as I can remember.

After I'd been volunteering for several years, the organization asked me if I would join their staff in some way. I'd always loved social media for personal use and I've worked in digital marketing as a full-time job for almost six years, so I offered to take that on. Shortly after someone on the board at that organization referred me to a musician who needed help. Then they recommended me to someone else...and the next thing you know, I had been plunged head-first into the world of social media, learning how to use it as a tool to help these organizations grow...and watching it work well enough that I started to take this little side hustle seriously.

I started in tap, ballet and jazz when I was little. Then I started doing ballroom in high school and college. Then I moved to Boston to look for work and found a vibrant community of every type of dance possible. But my favorite quickly became Lindy Hop, mostly because I found an organization there that had live music almost every Friday--and let me in for free by volunteering. I fell in love with the music, the culture and the desire to keep dancing accessible, affordable and amazing for everyone.

But then the unexpected happened.

If this new venture has taught me anything, it's that we ned more music, dance, beauty and art in our lives. It brings people together. It gives us hope and meaning. And we need that now more than ever. Social media is a tricky-to-understand but powerful tool once you've cracked the code. It can help you reach people who need to be reached, and not just for the sake of gaining a follower or getting someone to buy a ticket to your event. We're a part of something so much bigger. It's been life-changing, watching my clients grow through the lens of an iPhone camera. And I'd love to help you do the same.
