The Task

Boston Swing Central (BSC) had been doing well for over a decade with drawing in numbers, but they had no social media presence.

The Strategy

As a mainly lindy hop community, not every social media trend worked well for this audience. We started a strategy of posting about the weekly dances then adding reels that were a mix of inspirational dance and live music content with trends relevant to the scene.

Results

  • Doubled the number of IG followers in 8 months

  • Viral IG reel has 664k views

  • Sold out on over 50% of dances in the past year

  • ​Average reach of 25k accounts per month
